:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
I just bought a new 21RTF from Aim Surplus, it's in-transit as I write this. From the picture, looks like straight gills. RTF's work better for me in SFl's humid climate, I don't buy them for the collector value.

Anyone ever get their gills machined to improve grip? basically trying to machine regular vertical serrations over the gills - sort of like a cent sign ¢

I'm sure there are a few members here that wouldn't mind trading their "normal" slide serration glock for your rtf2 w/gills, straight up...
As of today Buds has some RTF 17's for 489.00 shipped. Sold mine a while back and I miss it so had to order one while I still can.

I joined the club this week. Unbelievably I found a dealer with a new one. I've owned about 8 Glocks, this is the first new one but I thought the retail price of $580 was ok considering the market today and the fact that this one is the best looking stock Glock I've ever seen.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-GFPKxLqraIY/USbRLaOQ8KI/AAAAAAAAFpg/XAN2gSkMRLw/s1197/P1070834.JPG
UncleDD,
I used to carry my Gill G19, way to aggressive, the grip finish, had to dremel the heck out of it. If you intend to shoot it a lot, replace the trigger with a smooth one, gets rough on the trigger finger.
I asked Glock why the gills were backward? That was a long while ago, never did get an answer.
Great shooter, TruGlow fiber optic sights, they are on all my Glocks.
My CCW G19Gen4, major pain in the butt, till they finally got the MSA right, good luck with your new pistol.

The three of us have collector envelopes lol ...nah, I initially thought it might be date related since my newer 19C has the "C" on the envelope...but yours is older and has a "C" so I don't know.
I've got a G23 and a G22 both NIB with "Gills". Now I'm into the FDE Glocks. Anyone with a G27 or G26 in FDE can trade me straight up for either of the RTF2's with the gills.

Carrying the RTF Gill Glock 19. Right off the bat, the texture is so rough, it rubs your side/tee shirt.
Out came the dremel, ground it to bits, basically the left side is smooth, I also ground some bits off, here and there.
It is my go to spare if my Gen4 G19 has any work required (as in sending slide back for new inserts for my TruGlow fiber optics).
Cost me the shipping, plus a check for $12-50, shipped back to me free. WOW, so bright now.

You said that you had a problem with the standard Gen 4 mag catch. I was pointing out that the Vickers catch I have in the pic is rounded, and not a standard catch that apparently you had an issue with.
I don't have problems with the catch and I also don't have a problem carrying a RTF2 everyday.
My G22 RTF born on July 14, 09 NMKxxx, gills, stillin box unfired (except factory). Mybrother has my G19 RTF may not see it again, well used by now.
