My shooting instructor just bought a G33. He is ready to dump it because of all the FTFs it gets with Speer bullets. I was going to send him some links from this forum regarding the problems others had with G32s.

Where did all of that info go? I remember a thread with pix about malformed plastic on the leading edge of the mag causing the issue. And something about #2 followers. Was that causing the problem?

Anyone know where to get info on this issue?

Thanks in advance,
Dan in ABQ

"All that info..."? I've never seen it, but I've been reading this subsite only a few weeks.

"Speer bullets"? Factory-loaded cartridges?

I've had 2 Gen3 32s, a used one that was at least several years old, and a new one. I've had NO failures to function of any kind, with several types of Speer, Winchester, and Fiocchi factory-loaded ammo and hundreds of my reloads.

its a simple fix so don't go ditching the gun. and I believe Glock has already corrected the issues with the new production magazines which i think are marked "357 #2". also the nubs don't seem to be a problem with the new magazine shells either. good luck.

Thanks for the links. This gun has pretty much convinced this guy that Glocks are a POS. He is not just a carry instructor. He is an instructor's instructor in NM, also certified as a carry instructor in UT as well an NRA certified instructor and an active shooting instructor for APs at our local air base. Glock does NOT want this fellow to be thinking what he is thinking right now. And this is a brand new gun bought within the last six months or less.

Thanks again,
Dan in ABQ

well like I said, its a real easy fix so probably no reason for him to blow it out of proportion. now that we've figured out the issue he can breathe easy.

JBarb...thanks for the info earlier concerning this. Out of six mags, one was with a #2 follower, and two nubs inside. I'll watch it, most likely grind off the nubs, or at least not use it when carrying.
