23c or 23 does it really matter?

I am considering a G23, I own a 22 and a 27. I also have the 19 and love it but am considering the 23c? What real differences will I notice? Considerably lower recoil? Or not noticeable?

Note: 5'10" 200lbs and small hands.

The "C" ported pistols are supposed to provide more muzzle control.
The cool thing with a C gun.... is you can drop a factory barrel into it.... BAM..... now you have a non-ported gun.
