Glocks, Breakin and Maintenance

I have read some various opinions about whether the Glock should have a Break in period of x No. Of rounds. What is your opinion?

I am reading variability of the maintenance of a Glock. When should a Glock be cleaned? What is your recommended maintenance? How do you assess the springs for wear (for the purposes of replacement)?

You will notice your Glock trigger and overall accuracy improve the more you shoot it. Takes 2,000 to 3,000 to let it wear in completely. You can speed up the process by lapping in the trigger parts. Use some Flitz and be sure to put a little on the slide rails.
