New Glock Barrel coating?

A salesman at the gunstore where I buy from pointed out to me that glock is putting a grayish coating on their barrels that wears better?. anyone know about this, or is he wrong. This was a new LE G19.:cool:

Sorry, if I can I will see about posting it. The salesman mentioned that he has a glock with this coating and has fired thousands of rds. and there is not abit of wear on the barrel.:cool:

under general glocking( I'm really liking the G19), the guys there mention about the grey barrel coating and how it doesn't show barrel wear.

I put a G19 on lay-away today, (Officer Price) one with this new coating on the barrel. the salesman said glock started using it a few months back.
