The photos of the slide to frame fit have been moved to teh 1911 FAQ stickie: http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1269683
:holysheep:
and if there isn't a measurement listed, then it means there is no movement and/or the gap is smaller than the .0015" feeler gauge that i have.
Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice highly detailed pics

yep, it's pretty tight.
eh, not so much a career, but good freelance gig. I haven't shot anything for $ in a few years. just quick pics and family stuff.
and before anybody mentions it, yes i noticed some surface rust/imperfections on some of the hammers. you can't see it with the naked eye, but since i shot the close-up's with a macro lens, you can see everything.
Great pictures and information. Thanks Quack.

You can tell a lot of attention went into that gun compared to the others. The contour of the ejector and the slide lines up perfectly.

The Ed Browns are, in my experience, the best fitted and finished of the "big three" semi-customs.
I'm keeping my last Baer because it is the most accurate 1911 I've ever owned, but the finish is second rate. I sold my Wilson because it wasn't any better fitted or finished than my best Kimbers, and I didn't feel it was worth the money. I just ordered another Ed Brown a few weeks ago. They never let me down.

I agree. Browns are my first choice, and then Baer is a close second.
