Can I use a LW 19XL(5.32")barrel with my original factory slide or do I have to install a longer slide? I'm only interested in the increased velocity and the use of cast bullets.

You can use a longer barrel in any Glock as long as the barrel is intended for that model.
Example: The LWD 19XL barrel will fit a G26 or G19: a 17L (6 in) fits in a G17 or G34 pistol.
