View Full Version : OpenOffice 3 Experts
OpenOffice is supposed to use all the fonts you have available on your Windows machine. When I go to the font drop down box OpenOffice only lists fonts down to L as in Lucinda and thats it. Maybe 50-100 fonts listed. I have 100's of fonts in my Windows fonts folder that do not appear in OppenOffice. What am I doing wrong?
I know w/ Linux, there's a Font pack you install..
There are font packs and a whole bunch of add-on's for Windows OpenOffice and they are free. OxygenOffice Professional is OpenOffice for Windows with everything already added. It may be more than you ant and it's huge. I think the website has the add-ons listed separately too. OxygenOffice Professional may not have been updated to the latest version of OpenOffice yet though. The add-ons should still work as separate add-ons to OpenOffice though.
The website isn't easy to use though. I think this is the latest English version for Windows with everything added. The download is 376.5 MB.
The latest version of OpenOffice is 3.2.1 and the latest version of OxygenOffice Professional is 3.2.0. There isn't much difference. The dictionary has been updated and some languages added but the big difference is the name of the parent company changed from Sun to Oracle. Not a big deal.
Note, OxygenOffice Professional version 3.2.0 may still be in testing with 3.1.1 being the stable version.
