I got these new grips for one of my Colt's too see if I liked them they're checkered cocobolo. So what do you guys think? :dunno:

Nice. Of course, a double checkered pattern would have been fitting for a 1911.

I like the checkered wood, Double Diamond is my favorite style, but those look nice.

That has a beautiful classic 1911 look to it with the DD grips. I like much better. :supergrin:

I'm kinda of torn I tend to prefer just checkered grips but I agree on this gun the DD grips might look better. I got these grips because they where pretty cheap and I wanted to see if they would look right on this gun.

I will probably be send this gun off in the next couple weeks for a complete rebuild and new grips will be supplied with that but I have a twin for this gun as well but I might leave the factory grips on it I'm just playing around with it now. :dunno:

That is a nice pair you have there.
I guess to have authentic looking grips they need to be aged and stained with blood and sweat mine have a long way to go.

I'll trade you my nice new grips for those peace of junk grips :supergrin:
