What AR15 lower receiver roll marks do you dislike?

I like the S$W roll mark itself. It is very classy. I just do not like the big M&P engraving on the other side of the mag well.

I have a Stag lower that I use, but you're right, the deer is weird. I really wish I bought one of those un-stamped Mega lowers when they were out.

Never really pay much attention to them. Guess I like the Noveske and Colt ones a lot since I own them, and they are top drawer. I like BCM too, since I intend in having a SBR in the near future.

Yup, that about sums it up for me also. Who cares about the roll marks, the game you're hunting had better worry about the muzzle instead! :rofl:

I like the Stag,LMT and BCM the best for looks, but the Gun underneath is what matters.

Well as another thread already pointed out, there isnt a whole lotta performance diference in most of the mil-spec lowers. So a logo aint going to make much difference. Its what trigger pack and upper parts you install on that lower that really make a noticeable difference.

Now that being said I still care if I have an cheap looking or immature logo on my gun. You will never see me with a custom skull & cross bones laser engraved on my lower. I noticed that most of the very high quality top drawer manufacturers have very understated non-flashy logos like Noveske, LWRC, & LMT to name a few.

These guys here dont even have a logo, just says T-15 and a few serial numbers but its a very high quality 7075 T-6 lower.

I love the markings on my ZEDU lower by Mega Machines. It has the biohazard sign on one side and a barcode on the other. Never liked the Spikes spider, Noveske Iron Cross, and Stag Deer.

I am impressed. I want one, so I can build the ultimate mall ninja gun on that lower. I am thinking 100 round drum, 3 or 4 surefire lights, bayonet, ACOG with Doctor on top....Hmm, what else? :whistling:

But as stated above, a lower is a lower and the only reason I'd buy one would be for the name/stamp and it would have to be a steal.

I like Spikes, have one, got it for a good price. Even got the "infidel" engraving on it, it matches my knife.:cool: Fit and finish is top quality. Would I pay $180 for another? No.

The other funny one is the Pirate one with the Jolly Rogers sign on one side and has the fire controls marked Safe-Parlay-Pillage. The model is ARRRR-15.

I agree, its way over priced for what you get.

As for the Spikes logo? I think it look more like Darth Vader when its viewed on the bolt carrier. Looks like he is looking out of the ejection port!

One roll stamp I like is from a company local to me. Aero Precision makes lowers and roll stamps some of them specifically for a local gun shop I love to shop.

Yeah, there are makers out there that see the side of the magazine well the way a crappy artist sees a piece of paper and just can't resist doodling on it.:upeyes: For me though that's not a deal breaker I guess in that I am mainly looking for the best quality at the best price. Being that a receiver is a receiver, I've used Olympic prancing lions, Bushmaster snakes, SGW stop signs, Double Starr fallopian tubes, and Rock River cross hairs. All of them worked just fine and I'm not all that concerned about their looks...except when it comes to my retro clones. Here is where the only lowers I'll use are Nodak Spud lowers. Excellent quality receivers, tight tolerances when you first get them and because a lot of customers want to have the original Colt prancing pony, Armalite Pegasus or other original markings engraved on them, the magazine well information is kept small and low without any weird logo roll marks to clutter up the magazine well.

I dislike most of them, including the pony. I can count the ones really I like on one hand.
Larue, BCM, Daniel Defense, in that order (rollmarks that is).

Still, a roll mark wouldn't keep me from owning a great AR. I'd own noveske, colt or spike's, even though I don't like any of those rollmarks. Most of my lowers are spike's actually.
