a couple of years back pick up a MKIII hunter SS and while is one good looking handgun is kind of heavy, lately been thinking about puting together a trick out Ruger. my dilema is should I sell the hunter and start from scratch with the basic MKIII or should I use the frame for the build. the only reservation I have about using the frame is that the pistol cost quite a bit to begin with.

I would start with a Ruger MKII Tapered Bull barrel & several Volquartzen Parts..
They seem to ballance better IMO..
You still have to pull the magazine out with the MKIIIs, it's not like they eject like a 1911 or 2nd generation Glock. Nothing against the MKIIIs except for the magazine disconector safety, mainspring safety & loaded cylinder indicator.. Ha Ha!! Strike that!!

Just use the gun you got.
You'll lose money selling it off, and spend more buying another one.

You can trick out the gun, yet still be able to go back to stock in no time.

My gun is a Lipsey MKIII with a Volquartsen accurizing kit installed, a VQ bolt kit, Majestic Arms target grips. I disabled the loaded chamber indicator, and removed the magazine disconnect.

I can literally be back to stock in about 15 minutes.
