The title of the thread pretty much describes the issue.
As there is contact with the ejector by the top round prior to the 'click', I am real reluctant to forcefully insert a fresh mag from slidelock.
There is a part number on the ejector. It is 8196-2.
What is the fix?
Thanks,
salty
No problem. The contact is along the side of the cartridge. Contact at this point is harmless

Contact is on the rim...about 10-11 o'clock. It isn't on the side. The contact is such that that a piece of std paper can not be pulled through w/o tearing. Briefly, it isn't just touching the ejector but applying pressure.

Any chance you can provide a pic?

Nosir, none at all.
Its a loaded round that has forceful contact with the G36 ejector. The contact is on the rim.
Some GI 45s can do this. On them the fix is fairly simple.
I know next to nothing about Glocks.
This one is box stock with no bells or whistles attached.

A pic would tell me everything.
Unfortunately I can not recommend anything more than changing out the trigger housing and I am not really sure that will do anything?

Maybe a broken ejector? It does have a part/dwg number.
Is replacing the ejector within the capabalities of your average ten thumbed klutz?
Thanks,

The trigger housing has a new ejector. They are sold as a matched set, "TH & ejector".
Yah you could replace it if you wanted to however I suspect nothing will change. From what you have described I pretty much feel there is nothing wrong?
A pic would tell me everything. If your still concerned send me the gun for inspection.
