i just purchased my first glock and love it, a model 23. Where can you buy conversion kits at to shoot .22s, this question made have already been asked, if so sorry for the duplicate but any help in the right direction will be appreciated.

The best .22 conversion currently available is the Advantage Arms. Problem is finding one. Usually sell at $$225 to $250
The good news is Tactical Solutions announced they will be introducing their version this Fall. Problem here is they plan to retail them at $450+

so my best bet would to just spend the money on .40 ammo or reloading my spend shells instead of a .22 conversion.

Not necessarily. You can reload the 40's & save, you can convert to 9mm & save, you can pick up an AA .22 LR conversion and save.
It all depends on which resolve you see as advantageous? I like them all. Don't give me another reason to buy a gun (or accessory).
