G27 thicker than G23?

Now before you go off with the quick "no they are the same, just longer" I am not new to Glocks. I have a few :whistling: But when I put my 27 in a kydex holster that I have used for 23 as well as 35 it is super tight! So tight I cant draw it one handed (have to hold the holster with one hand and pull weapon with other)

I took a micrometer to it and can't find any obvious differences.... maybe I am looking in the wrong places.

Any help??

The frames are basically the same 9/40/357 (subcompact/compact/full size). They start short and progressively get longer in both directions. When you find the difference you let me know.
