There's not a ton of info out there about these, but they look interesting from what I've seen. A GI model and several what Ithaca is calling "match grade" models.

First link has some of the more decent pics I've been able to find. Not crazy about the jeweled barrels on some of them. Short article by the way.

This link is basically just a summary and pricing.

Both articles are bit old, but there's just not much info out there. Supposedly these are supposed to be out later in the year, but still no info on Ithaca's website. GI model looks decent enough from the handful of pics I've seen. Gonna be a tad on the pricey side though for a GI.

Would be nice to see something 1911 made by Ithaca.
May fit well with my other classic piece of steel.

I would also like one to go with my model 37. I am not really feeling the checkered front and rear cocking serrations but I could live with them.

Thereīs a thread on another website but if youīre not a member you canīt view the photos. Personally, I think it will be all sizzle & little steak as Ithaca recently (for the umpteenth time) went teats up and moved to Ohio. I think itīs a desperate move with the 1911 as they lost the LEO shotgun market to Mossberg & Remington years ago. However, we shall see. :whistling:

I started this thread about them last month.

I'd like to pick one up at some point when they become available. Right now, I just have an original.

I handled them at NRA. While they had some interesting machinework and bluing, they were pretty goofy in most respects. They are not contenders.

The Ithaca will probably be twice the price of the Remington.

Any specifics? :dunno:

I'm waiting for Remington as well, but as I already said...I'm going to give this pistol a year before buying one.

Come on. How are you going to post that without details?
