... and I also have a few questions.

OK, first off, this is what she looked like before.

and after.

I scratched up the finish a little since I have had it but I don't care. I am gonna refinish it eventually anyways.

EGW barrel bushing and the other stainless parts are Ed Brown.

Now, the thumb safety does work, but when I flip the safety on, it doesn't click right in to the on position. It kind of goes halfway and needs a little more effort to engage fully. Is this gonna be a problem? Did I screw something up? Did I need to do some more filing?

Secondly, the front sight post seems to have worked loose. It's still on, but it's wobbly. What should I do to fix that?

Thanks!

Looking good.

you need to fit that thumb safety sear engagement lug to the sear itself. right now you putting pressure on the sear when you engage it, and besides putting stress on the sear that can fracture it, it can also round the hammer notch engagement surface of the sear and eventually lead to a sear jump (which causes accidental discharges). not hard, just go real slow and often check the fitting.

from what you said, it doesn't sound like you have much filing to do. PM if you have any questions :)

nice going!!!

as Don Glock said, it sounds like you need to take a little more off the thumb safety where it blocks the sear.

to tighten up the front sight, it would need to be re-staked. a trip to Springfield will fix that.

If you want Novak's, send it straight to Novak. They can't be beat for install quality and turnaround time. I don't know what kind of look your goin for, but the 10-8 NM rear with a Novak gold bead front is a good setup. I have it on my Colt.
