The 230grain or 185, my 39 will failure to feed at least once or twice every 50 to 100 rounds or so. So I put it to the test today, I shot 100 rounds of Gold Dots thru it without any issue. Whats the deal?

You have learned first hand why it is important to field test all defensive ammo with at least 100 rounds fired. The American Eagle may be slightly out of spec. I don't know. Keep in mind that the G37/G38/G39 pistols were designed around Lawman and Gold Dot 200-gr ammo.

By the way, I recently experienced failures to fire with Federal Champion 9mm 115's. Flat out dead primers. Problems can and do develop with any handgun and ammo is usually the culprit.

Good point. I may have 500-600 rounds thru it so far and the only target rounds that I've used are the american eagles, both the 185 and 230's, though it seemed that the 185's feed even worse. Now the true test: start shooting some lawman.
