Opinion ko lang, the back up pistol's caliber should be the same with that of your main carry pistol. So,if .45 cal ang main pistol mo, ang back up should also be a .45. I carry a 9mm Glock 17 as my main handgun. A back up would be a Glock 26 or a Sig P239 in 9mm. I don't prefer a .380 cal kasi mahina etong bala to be used as a defensive ammo. Minimum for self-defense should be 9mm and .38 special. Just my opinion.

Not anymore for a .380. Ammunition technology has improved this caliber a lot.

Ideally, your back up gun should take the same mags as your main gun.

mas murang baril?
Magkano na ba ptc ngayon?
The only thing worse than a ptc is 2 ptc's

Try 0 ptc's.

The PPK is more expensive than a Thunder 380.
A lot more expensive, with no advantage
wrt reliability, accuracy or ruggedness. A PPK
will retain its value better if reselling is a priority
to you.

Neither are as lightweight as you might want,
but the P3AT (polymer body) might be what you
are looking for if you want a really light .380...
or you can try to find a Thunder 380CC.

Para P-12 or P-10 (Not as heavy nor uncomfortable, given the right rig).....

I agree with you sir...I was myself surprised that my glock 26 is suitable for ankle carry...I am about 5'6" medium built (but my wife insist I am bigger than I think I am..)

Glock would then be a good choice since the 17, 19 and 26 are interchangable. Are other pistol models also interchangable?

Back up can be a g26, a ppk clone not as expensive as the Walther, such as the Manurin PPKS made in France or something like the Detonics 45acp

glock 26 loaded with 9mm 115 grains or 124 grains +P/+P+ JHP would be a good choice as an ankle holstered back-up.

My carry gun is a G22. My back up is a G27. Same caliber plus the G27 will take the mags of the G22.

How much is the Kahr?

Last time yung PM9 nasa 56K na kaagad

I'm planning to buy a back up pistol/ daily carry, and Glock 19,23,32 ( 3rd gen only ) and Sig P239 are top candidates. I wonder how much is the sig p239 currently? dyan sa pinas. thanks
