So just crossed over to the dark side, sold my G36 and bought a Kimber Ultra Carry II. My question is, what holster should i get for CC? i usually carry IWB, but i'm open to all suggestions. Shoot away guys....

Brommeland, 5-Shot, Bulman, Del Fatti, Nossar are all quality rigs.

I use the VMII for my 1911 and I have a comp tac for my G36. Both are the best IWB holsters I have ever used. I would recommend either. However, I prefer the VMII for for the fact it is all leather and is of better quality. It doesn't work any better or worse it just is better quality.

Thanks for all the replies gentlemen! I ordered myself the comp-tac minotaur. At a decent reduced rate (military discount) and a reputation for great customer service it was the choice for me. Now the wait. Again thanks for the replies guys!

Milt Sparks VMII, Comp-Tac, Crossbreed...all great choices and PERFECT for CCW. I think for comfort...it is a toss-up. I have all three and NEVER a complaint!

Selection of a holster is highly dependent on the carry position. Most of the recommendations in this thread are for holsters that usually work best in the behind-the-hip position. Many of them also carry the handgun is a fairly high position (e.g., Sparks VM-2)

Personally, I prefer IWB appendix concealed-carry. This mode of carry works best with low-ride holsters such as the RM Low Rider (kydex) or the Southern Memphis (leather).

Me too. I have 2 VM2s on order. Will sell one, that will cover the cost of the Occidental AND a Beltman belt.

Will keep either that or the other VM2.

Why did you order two VM2's?

Why did you order two VM2's?

Ordered a 4.25" for my CBOB (Sparks est. will get it Sept-ish) and just ordered a 5" (should get in Jan/Feb) for $125 and will sell it for double that. That's $125+ in the Kobra Carry fund.

Nah, will just cost me the DW. I will be able to move the CBOB for more than I pay for it, and will be able to come up with the difference in less than a year. Oh yes, Ed Brown will be mine. Muahahahaha.

Big Crossbreed Supertuck fan here. I have 4(1911, Glock, XD and M&P). I also have a Qwik Clip from Crossbreed for the 1911 and I like it alot too. You don't hear much about them, but they are a great CC holster too.

I'm resisting the impulse buy. It's a better decision for me in the long run. I will get more trigger time having the 9mm Kimber and carrying the BOB. Plus, it's a BIG deal to the person buying me the BOB. She would be really upset if I turned around and sold it. I will get the KC soon enough. Besides, I can just shoot yours.

Guess I will just have to settle for owning a CBOB and Kimber. Sigh. There are far worse things... :whistling:

nope, you can't shoot mine anymore since you don't like the flat trigger :tongueout:
