CED 7000 -- Lanyard?

Just got my CED7000, was playing with it, I noticed a neck lanyard in the box.

I see no place to "connect" it to the 7000 ?

There are two slots on the bottom for the external battery pack connection... the lanyard will partially go into there, but doesn't make for a positive lock. I consider myself to be fairly handy, but this has me puzzled.

Don't know that I'll use it so much as I practice, but I can see myself wanting to wear it around my neck if I do some R.O.'ing, even unofficially (buddy just got a steel plate rack setup, and we've been wanting to time our strings).

Yep, it clips in the bottom. If I recall, it's a place and twist operation, but it's been 2 years since I put one on.

I HIGHLY recommend the belt clip for the CED7000. It works great for practice and for keeping hands free when RO/SO'ing.

Yeah, I figured it out...

there was an extra "piece" that I didn't see at first. What was included in the box was the neck lanyard AND a wrist strap... the part that attaches to the timer was connected to the wrist strap.


But I also had purchased the belt clip, that's probably what I will use when I'm timing myself and such....
