After only perhaps 300 rounds of fairly stout handloads (135gr/150gr) 1,300-ish fps I'm seeing some peening or burring on the barrel lug (the sloped part) at the leading edge. I haven't seen this with any Glock ever and I've had many. Do I need to beef up my guide rod with a heavier spring or something ?
Thanks, Pete
Cut the peened area back with a file and watch for continued damage. Most the time it will only go so far and then stop.
Watch the ejection patter of your brass. If it is flinging out 10 feet or more add a little more weight to the recoil spring.

I'll clean it up with a stone and keep an eye on it. Thanks for the response !
