View Full Version : Recommendations for Concealed Carry Hosters with a 23

Hey guys! I am getting my CPL and 23C in a few days and I am wondering what kind of hosters you recommend throughout experience or from reading. If there are any internet links that may be useful it would be very much appreciated! Thank you guys so very much for all of your help!

imo best option is comp-tac mtac or crossbreed supertuck. They are essentially the same holster and quality is the same. If you are LEO or NRA member you can get the crossbreed a little cheaper

After trying many this is my very favorite - great quality and comfort.

Consider some of the fine holster makers in the sponser showcase section.

I carry my G23 in a Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe.

For concealed carry, I like the DeSantis Mini Slide belt holster for my G23. For open carry, I use the Fobus Evolution for this gun.

Lots of variables to consider (like your preferred style of carry), but you can't go wrong with any of these:

Kolbeson Leatherworks:

Crossbreed Holsters:

JMG Holsters:

While I like the upside to a gun-specific holster, most of these makers make slide versions that can be used with more than one weapon. I have a CBST for IWB carry and it can be used with both my Glocks (G27/G23) as can their Snapslide OWB holster (which I'm ordering this week).

I'm a big fan of the Comp-Tac MTAC. With a good belt, it is very comfortable to wear and you hardly notice that it is there.

is the thinnest most adjustable one!

NTAC makes a good one and you can customize it for light option. Here are some pics of it on the 19 with light option.] (

This is what I bought:

It is well made, came in a WEEK and only cost $50. It has a similar design as the CROSSBREED Supertuck but comes in natural, dark brown or black. It can come in kydex (black) or concealex(graphite). With stamped borders it looks better than the Crossbreed.

I bought the Holster for the 23/27, a holster for 2 magazines and a Ruger SP101.

The advantage is that he put belt slots that allow for OWB.

I also have a Galco Summer Confort but the holster I bought from Kwart here on Glock Talk is more comfortable.

Another +1 for kwart's holster. It's super comfortable and you can't argue with the $50 price tag.

I have always used Bladetech and really like them. I use the same one for my 23 and 22.

I agree 100%.

I carry my G-23 in a Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe. I tried the Comp-Tac MTAC and didn't think it was as comfortable to wear all day as the Crossbreed. I love the Crossbreed..

+1 for the M-tac.

Check out this young ladies web site as she makes very high quality holsters her self and only
takes so many orders at a time so you don't have to wait long for one .

06-29-2010, 11:42
I also am a big fan of the Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe! I carry my G30 in one and it's very comfortable and conceals great.

06-29-2010, 12:52
+1 for the M-tac.
i use the spartan,it is thinner if your jeans are tighter but these holsters are the best, crossbreed should make the full bodied kydex like comptac,it keeps the muzzle from wearing a hole in your jeans, comptac RULES!:wavey:

i carry my g23 in a crossbreed supertuck as well. ive only been using it for about 2 weeks now but it is incredibly comfortable and dont ever plan to get another IWB holster.

Try Mitch Rosen

It will be the last holster you ever get

RM Holsters Low Rider IWB is one of the most comfortable, concealable holsters I've used. Easy to put on also. I've used many different types of IWB holsters. The Comp-Tac MTAC is a very close second. These two holsters I use exclusively for IWB carry now.

Crossbreed Supertuck

+1. This is how I carry a FAT Glock 20... comfortably

Another +1 for kwart's holster. It's super comfortable and you can't argue with the $50 price tag.

And another +1 from me. I have 2 of his holsters, ordering a third next week. Very comfortable holsters, great guy to deal with.

Crossbreed Supertuck
This. x1000

Comfortable all day, every day. Even on long drives in bolstered racing seats.

+You don't have to be a big feller to hide a cannon under your button down, tucked in, sundays best.

You can't go wrong with either of these holsters. I use them for my 19 and can't even tell I am wearing them. They are deep concealment and are very easy to draw from and are both a one hand reholster. The Summer Special sits a little lower, holds the gun a little deeper and is a little lighter in weight.

For IWB carry in leather, Milt Sparks SS,SSII or EX and in Kydex, the Kytac Braveheart.

07-02-2010, 19:13
My Supertuck is on order right now.

07-02-2010, 21:33
These guys do good work:

I'd say, a southern draw reinforced if you want IWB, otherwise working man for OWB.

07-03-2010, 04:45
comp-tac mtac ...whatelse is there???

Milt Sparks???

07-03-2010, 09:27
After trying many holsters, i carry my G23 iWB in a RM LOWRIDER holster, very fast on ands off the belt, and very very comfy....

07-03-2010, 10:40
I use a MTAC slide version. It is good for any 9mm/.40/.357 sized glock. I can carry my 17,19,23,27 or 34. Don't skimp on a good belt also.
