View Full Version : First time shooting my new 36!
Have had my gun now since Sept. 2009. Finally got around to trying it out. Been hesitant mainly due to the fact that with all the neg stuff out there, I did not want to be the one who would say "oh no, I should have listened to what they had to say". Well let me tell you, I am THRILLED with my G36! I put 100 rds of WWB and 25 rds of Remington GS and not a single glitch or problem. No pinching fingers, FTF, FTE, or any other of the problems I read about. And this was my first time shooting a 45 auto. My main PD firearm is a little snub 38sp, but after shooting this Glock, I think I will reconsider. I am more a collector than a shooter, but this is one firearm that is not going to be oiled and stored for sure. This is the first gun that I have ever gone shooting with and actually came away with a feeling of excitement and anticipation of the next outing. Thank you Glock!

You should not have waited so long -- see what you have been missing. Love my 36 and like you, no issues.
I've had my G36 since 2002. Never a failure of any kind. I could wright a book on what this little pistol has been through and still never a hick-up. The night sights even still look bright. I'm retired now but there were many day's and situations when I left my primary carry (Kimber TLE 45ACP) home and only carry the 36. Oh, did I mention I love my G36.
the only thing better than a glock in 45 , is buying another and having two in 45... I have the 36 love it , the 30 love it, the 39 in 45 gap love it.
My G36 has earned its way to be my primary CC gun. Reliable, accurate, doesn't rust, great size.

You've had the gun for almost a year and just shot it now???!!! What is wrong with you.
The G36 has also evolved into my primary carry pistol. Try a Glock Sport/Combat holster for a very inexpensive, but useful OWB carry option. Good Luck
Congrats, thanks for the report !

I also like the Glock Sport Combat holster for my Glock 36. It is one of my number one choices when I want to so super light and keep the gun under a loose shirt. With either the Double Tap 230 grain FMJ ball or the Buffalo Bore 230 grain FMJ not a bad option for woods carry. Lots of power in a small package. It is even lighter than a SP 101 revolver with 2 more shots.
