It sure is slick! So far i'm lovin it. Gonna take it to the range this evening when it cools down a little bit. $450 plus tax. Thank you to everyone for your advice. If it wasn't for you guys i would have bought the mil spec bc of a brand name!

It's a metro arms american classic. From what i was told on this board they make a standard model & the upgraded model you see pictured above.

Well i took my new baby to the range & put 150 flawless rounds through it. It's accurate & the trigger pull is a dream. This thing is a beast for $450. I highly recommend it.

You made a good decision. They are great guns for the money. I've put about 200 through mine w/out a hiccup.

I gotta stop looking at these threads. If I bought another 1911 I'd feel like I was cheating on my Kimber.

...

Maybe I could put both 1911s next to each other and just watch?

edit:

Also, very nice, I like. Price tag makes it 10x better.

Congrats! Thas a nice looking 1911! How is the reliability over the long run on those? I had one in my hand at the Phoenix gun show last weekend but didn't know about that company, I have been looking at the SA Mil Spec. but if this is just as good of a gun at that price I think I will look into that more!

Rutha, that's exactley what i was gonna buy till i stumbled upon the metro. You get way more gun for a better price.

I'm not saying the Metro is as good a gun as the Springfield Mil-Spec, but they do offer quite a few more features for less money.

Metro just needs to get some milage behind them before they can be looked upon as highly as Springfield. That said, Metro is off to a great start, as are the other Filipino 1911 builders. I like all of them. :)

Now I am tampted..... out of curiosity, what does the other side of it look like ctfireman? is there big rollstamps on it? Or is it pretty plain? (I like the look of a smooth slide a lot more than the ones that have stuff stamped all over them) Thanks for the insight!
