There is a good reason they are so rare, Nighthawk must know that no one will buy the damn things :supergrin::supergrin:
I had a chance to handle one of these last week when I was at Nighthawk in AR. It is different....that is for sure. I think it is even kind of cool, although I don't know that I would actually buy one. I will say this much...Knight's Armament makes some of the best AR's....I have one of their SR-15's and it is a bad dude.....

I like it.
I think Buds had the pair when I was there a few weeks ago. Didn't really look at it since they were on the wall behind the counter.
The SR-15 would be worth keeping because you could change the dimpled grip and rail covers, the dimpled barrel is nice. The nighthawk really does not do it for me, and quite frankly I think it is ass ugly. I would sell that off right away and spend the money on ammo and stuff for the SR-15.

Disgusting. But some basement ninja will buy them and post all about them...with out firing a shot.
Save your money and buy a 6920 and a TRP, then use the spare change to buy ammo and training. Of coarse this is a foreign idea to most.

Huh...and I thought it was just GOD awful.
IMO goofy flutes and blood grooves are best left to basement fondler's and gun lookers. Nothing to do with shooting and a waste of money.
I couldn't imagine taking that pair to a LV or PR training. I have tough skin, but even I don't think I could take that type of ribbing.

Actaully it would be fun to take a class with them. Just showing up in some pink Chuck Taylors, a peace sign doo-rag, with a flower pinned to you vest, and toting them guns would be a hoot............

You could pull it off easily dude. You just have to dress appropriately to carry that kind of serious firepower.

As long as his wife is shooting... all the power to him and her.
My wife loves shooting and guns, but I swear she would get a "Coach" gun if they made one.( And I'm not taking about sawed off double barrels.)

I saw this set IRL at the local gun store. They look worse in person, if thats possible.

I could actually see BAC buying it, and it would make sense in his case.
He is a collector and by that definition....collects.
Being a collector means collecting rare, very nice, valuable, different, strange, and even weird things. Just to have them.
As you start running out of the first couple, the last two start being collected. If Bac bought one it would make sense, at least to me.
It is the mope that buys that silliness and now thinks he is a high speed shooter because of the guns he bought. The kind that thinks be is better than anyone around with a lower cost gun and then shoots groups at 7 yards you could drive a Volkswagon through and thinks his gun is broken when he gets a stovepipe or a loose sight.
(I mean this in the nicest way possible as I type. Even though it may not read that way)

My SR-15 is just a plain jain, no bling shooting machine. KA is awesome!! Is the plan for KA to sell these limited edition 1911's and SR-15's as a matched set? If so, that would be a pretty spendy set, I would think. Let's just hope they don't offer a golfballed ACOG......that would be going wayyyy over the line!!! :)
