Picked this up today. I used to have a lot of these and I have no idea what happened to them all. Any way this guy is sharp as any knife I've ever had. This was the first ZDP-189 I've bought. I was like :wow: when I tired it out.

I have a couple of those.....they keep their edge better than any other knife I've had.
The ZDP-189 steel is brittle though,DON'T DROP IT!!!

Congratulations! I recently picked up this Endura with full flat grind in ZDP-189 and really like it.

I've not heard anything about ZDP-189 being brittle though I would agree with the "DON"T DROP IT!!!" advise with regards to any knife.

Richard, the ZDP-189 is almost as hard as ceramic.
