stainless recoil spring

I am having trouble with my model 27 recoil spring rusting. I carry it every day in an iwb holster and in the summer I sometimes sweat a lot. I own a body shop and am in the heat quite a bit. I bought an aftermarket all steel assembly several months ago when my plastic assembly failed (the spring slipped over the lip of the guide rod) and the rod is holding up well, but the spring itself is rusting, especially on the end where it goes into the front of the frame. I know several places sell stainless steel guide rod assemblies but they do not say whether or not the spring itself is stainless.

Also what is the stock weight of my model 27 spring?

Keep a thin coat of oil on the spring system and you will stop the majority of the rust.
BTW: The spring can only slip over the guide rod when it is out of the gun. You can compress it back together and still use it.
