I am thinking of ordering a G32 this week and I can't really figure out why the 357S is considered to be a super stopper while the 9mm is generally considered to be a wimp. The difference in Cor-Bon loads shows a 150fps plus to the 357 in 115 gr, 175fps + in the 125's and gain of about 100fp of energy for the 115, about 140fp for the 125. Seems like COM hits with either would do the job while misses still don't count no matter how powerful the cartridge. Is the remarkable penetration of the 357 something to be avoided. Every shot I make has my name on the bullet and all of the responibliity that goes with it. I don't want to shoot through 2-3 cars or people, a dozen walls, etc..... Thanks for your comments.

Screaming .357G

Easy....It takes a 9mm +P+ or +P++ depending on the brand to get the 9mm to near the same speed/energy in a similar weight 124 grain bullet vs the .357s 125 grain.

The diffrence you are talking about in the FPS is not with a standard 9mm but a hot load like a +P+ or better.

The avarage 115 grain factory load in the .357 sig goes over 1,500 FPS out of a G32 and some are much faster than that.

I get a tad over 1400 fps out of my G31-C with a 125 grain and a non ported barrel:)
