Looks like I'm going to put grease on my standard blaster and put it on long term storage.

Reason? PTT is only good for one (1) day :steamed:

One day?! Did you get it yourself or through your gun club? First time I heard of this, what I know is PTT for pistols yes, PTT for rifles no, which is why my little AR is still sitting in Armscor Marikina (at least I can shoot it now).

Looks like what can't be done directly, is being done indirectly...

asian_glockster

Through gun club sir. Each time you want to practice, you have to secure a PTT.

one day lang? that's strange, our club issues 3-month ptts for pistols.

definitely, hpr ptts are still a no-go

It's a new directive from FED sir.. Just in effect last week..

that sucks! sorry to hear that. anyways, tiis muna sir. after all the 'stricter gun-ownership ekek' dies down, hopefully the regulating agency comes to it's senses.

btw, so how much do this 1 day ptts cost?

thanks

asian_glockster

what happens to the previous PTTs processed and are still valid? Kumuwa ako mga last month 3 months all ranges inissue ng armscor. Hassle talaga yung fed, kung ano ano ginagawang rules.

Question lang, if a small vault or "safe" is found inside your car, does a policeman have the right to ask you to open it?

500 for 1-day PTT that was supposed to be 3months? harang talaga.. e di para din lang GUNBAN..

i asked the same question to FED, the previous issued PTTs that covered 3 months are still valid. pero sabi naman, pinakikiusapan to again issue 3 month PTTs...

Yun nga po. pero paano kung open div yung gamit mo? kukuha ka ng PTC? Tapos 50 rounds lang ang limit?

Rules keep on changing at their whim...I think no one should take this for granted. Its probably FED testing the waters and if there is no significant noise from gun owners, then it becomes permanent without saying.

PNP is milking responsible gun owners for their retirement fund....tsk, tsk, tsk This not gun control but highway robbery as darth_board said. I think PNP means Puro Na lang Pera...

Got mine last July 02 and will expires on Oct 02 2010.
Went to FED yesterday morning, Confirmed for 1 day valid only. Still Php 360 pa rin ang PTT fee for personal application.

07-13-2010, 02:18
Before - P360 was for gun club members for a 3-month house to range.

But, there was also a P60 or P120 pesos Permit-to-Transport (for repair/gunsmithing or airport-to-airport transport). Has this been discontinued?

1 day has been standard for hprs for some time now.

what is the legal loophole used (if indeed there is one used) for storing hprs with the gun club for extended periods of time?

Sir Beulah, just some clarification. You mean to say that the PTT's we got that was originally good for 3 months when issued is now just valid for 1 day?

Oh I miss Cebu a lot... but I'm stuck here. Anyway shooting's no fun if you're shooting alone, just me and the pulot boy at the bay. I want to not only shoot my AR, but also to fondle and dry-fire it before I go to bed, like I used to do...

When will the gun ban for the barangay elections start? MDSA in Binondo is looking pretty good to me.

Will it be cheaper if I went to Crame myself to get it?

I got conflicting reports re rifle PTTs, one was that yes, because of the rifle competitions, but when I went to MDSA last Saturday to become a member, answer was no. Which is which?

PMMA97
08-02-2010, 16:51
It will depend on who knows you on Crame.

Mahirap kasi pag dating mo doon di mo alam kung kanino lalapit.

There was once a memo that only gun club reps were allowed to process PTTs.

Ang gulo dahil lahat gusto magpa pogi sa bagong President.

would anybody know if "handling fees" for shotguns are the same as for pistols (for air travel)?

and during one's stay in a province, is the PTT all one needs to be legal in having the firearm outside of manila (manila being the place of residence in this case)?

pot sa crame ko to kinuha, the ptt is valid only from aug 19 to 23 and only from my residence which is in mandaluyong to the davao pistol and rifle range in davao city.

so that means if i want to play with my rifle or even just hear it go bang, i have to go to davao for the said match. pero masyado na magastos yun, ang intention ko sana is to get the normal/ old style ptt for the rifle which you can take to any rifle range. pero ngayon they just give it pag may sanctioned match lang

Sobra na man yan!!!! The firearm is just another implement, it is the person who ultimately is responsible for its usage. Hence, they should grant a license to the person after qualifications and not for a gun...

A 3-month "privilege" to carry a gun is insulting to such a person. Why??? ...... unless his mental status has change, is he a different person after this time period??????
