Gun Cleaning...

I have a brand new Glock 26 which I will be shooting tonight for the first time...do I want to clean the gun first or is it ready to go as is?

Glock Inc recommends you clean the gun and remove the copper paste from the trigger bar & rails before shooting.
I have no problem leaving it the way it is. It will only help the gun run smoother. Clean it when it gets dirty (if you want).
