Gen4 Glock 17 ---> 34

Question:

I want both, can I buy a Gen4 17 and then just get the 34 slide and barrel and drop them onto the Gen4 lower? or vice versa? Is this even cost effective?

Yes you can purchase a Gen4 G17 and then install a LWD 34 top end.
You can also purchase a TimberWolf frame http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=80127 and build your own custom Glock just like the one on our home page

Awesome, thanks for the info, one more question, I live in NYC, we need to get a purchase order for new pistol purchases and only get one about every 5 months, if I buy the Gen4 17 and want a 34 top end, will that count as another "firearm" purchase, like do I need have the barrel/slide etc shipped to an ffl or can I just get it sent to my home? if you know?

I do not know what the NY laws are but can tell you a slide & barrel are NOT a firearm. The frame is the firearm and you are not changing the frame.
