Ok, this thread is a little juvenile, but that's because it originates with a 12 yo boy.

I'm sitting at work playing a little Thunderstruck by AC/DC when I receive a text from my son:

"I am the Thunder God!!!!"

:holysheep:(weird, huh?)

"Thor?" I replied.

"KIMBER!!!!!!" Came the reponse.

"Ooooooohhhhh"

"Kimber has usurped Thor as the Thunder God," Connor states again, "Major cool, huh?"

"Awesome!" I agreed.


Awhile ago he and I were on the back porch when I hear the sudden start of massive firing when the CHL class hits the range about a mile or so away.

Connor asked if that was thunder- clearly confused since the sky was clear. I told him it was the sound of freedom... that or an angry god. This might have influenced his thought process.

Since only 1911 guys will get it... Should Kimber replace Thor as the Thunder God?

And as much as JMB has done for the firearms world I think Thor might just kick the crap out of him in a fair fight, now if JMB brought one of those new fangled 10mm 1911s then Thor is toast.

maybe not replace Thor, but you could make the argument of it replacing Thor's Hammer.

I have enough of an interest in Norse mythology that I looked the pronunciation up, after awhile I forgot it. You get some funny looks at work when you hold up a sledgehammer and say, "MJOLNIR, HAMMER OF THOR!!" in a dramatic voice. :embarassed: :rofl:
