Is this basically a 4" mil spec? Either they made a mistake on the model number or i just can't find any info on it anywhere.

It looks tobe an older model, I would think.

Its not a 4" Mil-Spec Champion, because it has a small frame.

It does look modded even though the auction states that its not. :dunno:

Worth buying if it stays close to $400?

The configuration is obvious, their older bushing barrel 4" upper on a short butt receiver. I don't know what they named it, though.

I never saw a Springfield with FACTORY Millett sights. I just wonder if these are.

Hot darn!!!! I can answer that one.

That is a Springfield Compact. It is a Officer frame and a true Commander slide. It is the size that most people call a CCO after the Colt Commanding Officer.

It has been worked on, that is a definite. Who did it is anyone's guess, might have been Springfield Custom. The sights are not original. The GS is not either, but it seems to be blended well. And the grip frame has been recontoured or it is a late model. It is a 1992'ish gun.

I think it would be a great buy for 4 bills. Now you have to keep me from bidding against you.:tongueout:

I love CCO sized guns. Good Luck.

I wouldn't, because I don't buy small framed 1911s. :dunno:

I also wouldn't buy it because its not original and the auction states that it is. I don't like that sort of thing.

He's not hiding anything, he just doesn't know better. Everything that comes into his shoip used goes on gunbroker & he's not a 1911 guy whatsoever. I know this seller personally. It's ok caesar, i'm not hot on this one, i was more curious than anything. I think i'm going after a smith airweight on there.

I didn't even read the description.
I like it when dealers don't know about what they are talking about. Gives everybody a bad name.

If you don't know...just say so.

Well, it does state that it "seems" to be stock.

That said, it looks fairly obvious that its been messed with.
