Black CQB with no FCS, rounded butt, flush crowned barrel, night sights and Wilson's version of the black gray Horned Lizards. Looks like it'll be another 2-3 weeks before I get my hands on it. I may need to start a DRC made me buy this thread.

Hey Joe.....Not to throw a monkey wrench into your plans, but are you SURE you don't want that Ultralight Carry instead? I got a call from John at Wilson today and he has one ready to go RIGHT NOW....no waiting. That will give you something to think about tonight....lol

I agree....When I was putting the order together I was thinking how nice of a CQB setup that would be. I don't know that I have seen one with the round butt and no FCS.

Thanks. Dave (drc767), had ordered it like that, except for the flush crown, and when he told me that he already had one in the works that was everything I wanted and we had enough time to get the barrel flush crowned, then it was a go.

Thanks Brian. I can't wait to get back to Arkansas, so I can start picking up these babies. The Legacy is already there waiting on me, but the Wilson might not get there until I do. The No Name is still a ways out. Believe me, there will be enough pics to make everyone :puking:

It will be like me last month picking up the No Name, EGW, Colt National Match, and Valtro, ATI, and Desert Eagle. That was six 1911s in one month. Four of which I paid a lot of money for. :faint:

This month it was the Remington and Cimarron. Next month should be the Morris. September or October should be the EMF.

The Morris will certainly be the exclamation point.

I'm having a 1911 filled summer and it doesn't sound like I'm alone in that regard. ;)

I'm not a fan of the grips, but that's a none issue as grips can be changed out to anything you want, but, like they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Thanks. I started my 1911 collection back around 1990, with a brand new Norinco. Back then I couldn't afford the Wilson mags. So I bought the magazine kits from Wilson(spring and follower) and put them in my el cheapo no name surplus mags. Ya gotta start somewhere. :)

How long did yours take after you ordered it?

glock2740
07-31-2010, 18:03
Dave actually ordered it with everything it has, except for the silver trigger, flush crowned barrel and the black grey grips. He had ordered a CQB with no FCS and a rounded butt, which is the same way I had ordered my Guncrafter No Name. When I called him a few weeks ago about a Wilson Ultra Light Carry or possibly a CQB, he told me about a black CQB with no FCS and a rounded butt with night sights he had on order. I asked about a silver trigger and a flush crowned barrel and some black grey grips. He called Wilson and it was early enough in the build for them to be able to make those changes and presto chango, my CQB came to life.
