View Full Version : What is a used GI RRA worth?
Have a chance to pick up a used RRA GI in like new shape. We can't agree on a price. Right now we are stuck at $350. Is that fair?
I want to pick one up to be a range/truck/camping gun so I don't beat up my Springfield.

Guess you meant RIA (Rock Island Armory) and NOT
RRA (Rock River Arms)?
A RRA is $1500 and up.
A RIA should sell for $350-450.
What is the condition? Round count? Mags? Unmodded?
A Springfield is a MUCH better weapon for a few hundred more.

If it's a RRA, and you don't buy it, PM me and I'll buy it.

A new RIA would probably be just over $400. $350 is a little much for a used one, unless it is in excellent condition with low round count.

OP stated "like new condition" this with what sounds like a ftf sale would make it well worth $350-400
I bought a used but never fired GI with Hogue wrap around grips over the summer for $350. I put 300 rounds through it, pulled the Hogues off ,and sold it for $350. I say if it's in good shape go for it.

$350 seems fair.
Like others said, its an RIA, not RRA. BIG difference.

Seems to me that when I was looking at my RIA Tactical, they had a RIA GI in the case as well for less than $400. I don't remember exactly, but I'm thinking it was either at or just under $375 NIB. This was sometime in April. So $350 wouldn't be anything that would make me pull my wallet, even if I was in the market for one of these.
Never seen a RRA in person. Seen a few pics on this board, but that's about the extent of my experience with them.
MY mistake guys...it is a RIA 45 GI unmodified. owner claims less than two hundred rounds. I field stipped it and all internal parts looked clean. It only comes with one 7-round mag which isn't a big deal to me as I have about 10 1911 mags, but I made it seem like a deal breaker. I offered him $320 and told him to throw in another mag. We will see if he calls me back or not.
Thanks for the help on the price guys.

It's worth it. Go on and get it.
