Machinima is, I think a program where after you play a game, you can edit and choose a camera angle (i.e. zoom in/ out, choose from point of view of the enemy or the good guy or wherever), sort of making it into a movie of your own gameplay giving the realism of being able to zoom anywhere. One can even pause the game play, zoom the camera elsewhere then play/ record it from a different perspective. The video appears to be an xbox game modern warfare call of duty 4.


It really is cool. I've been doing something similar only on a different game (i.e. Halo 3) It really is fantastic for one to make a movie of your own.

PS3 or Xbox 360 can do this. Machinima is built into the particular game itself. There is a catch these game developers have, that is you have to be a member and pay a fee to be able to download your gameplay movie for them to render it, if you wish to play it in a regular dvd player. Of course you can use the console to play the movie theater.

I absolutely found this software fantastic, creating a 3d scene in which you can edit and change point of views or be 3rd party and make your very own action packed film.

Of course that is the beauty that comes after the exciting gameplay.
