Yep, Ed Brown is making 50 9mm's.
Price is around $2700ish

Thinking about it, but man is that steep.

They are bound to offer up some more, and so if you want one you'll get one in the end.

Makes me second guess having my 9mm 1911 listed for sale though, they ain't gettin' any cheaper.

True. But considering the fact that they pre sold the 50 in 24 hours do you really think that they won't make more of them? Demand = $$

Well I'm SOL. The first person wants it :(

Hope they have another run next year. Maybe something like a SF or one of the Carry models.

I never thought I would see the day that the old codger would make a 1911 in that sissy kraut caliber. (Peaks out window to see if it is snowing in Texas in July)!

Quack

and that's exactly why they sold out in a day :(

I can see why. 9mm has become a very popular caliber for the 1911 in the past few years. Combine that with Ed Brown's workmanship and you get a winner.

Funny story about another old timer. A while back I was trying to trade a Springfield Loaded Target 9mm and a Loaded .45 for a higher end 1911. I had this older gent call me and offer a trade on a Colt Commander. However, he told me that the 9mm 1911 was not a very popular gun (after I had been trying to get one for a few months) and that I would have to give him both my Loaded SA to get his one Colt. I tried very hard not to laugh and told him thanks, but Ill pass.

I have a Springfield Custom Carry in 9mm that is about 6-8 weeks out. Ive been real impressed with thier work, and you may give them a try if you want something like that. Dont you have a TGO?

yep. that Custom Carry in 9mm is still a thought.
maybe even give Dave a call and see if he can turn my EMP into a CCO EMP :)

When my CC gets in, Ill let you shoot it if you ever get down to Houston for whatever reason.

Though I don't buy them, it is cool to see Ed Brown offer another caliber.

I've long thought about a 9mm 1911 but so far I have stuck with .45s.

It would make a sweet plinker or ESP gun.:whistling:

Yeah but damn dude, $2,700ish? Hell, have Alex at GI whip one up for you. Would be a little less and probably equal if not better.

...or do like Wade and have Keith at DW make up up a custom 9mm CBOB for a grand less.

Quack, remember about two years ago when Valors were extremely rare and everyone was on 15 waiting lists from various dealers?

I got fed up and called Norwich and spoke with Keith Lawton, and asked him if he could put an ambi safety on a Valor. His response was, "Sure, what else would you like on your Valor?"

After 10 minutes, he and I had developed a "build sheet," including the bobtail, which is the only Bobtailed Valor made, and no advertising other than what's show below. This showed up at my FFL about nine months later.

What I'm suggesting is that you might be able to use the same approach if you get in touch with the right person.

Since Brian was one of the guys helping me source a Valor at the time, and is a personal friend of mine, I kept him in the loop on this project. When my wife and I visited Brian last year, I compared the trigger on his stock Valor to mine, and it's apparent Keith gave mine some extra care during the build.

That's why in 1929 a 9mm on steroids hit the 1911 scene.

I was hoping for a fixed sight model. That plus a standard production piece and not a limited run collectors item.
OH well,I guess I will have to be satisfied with my LB PII in 9mm.
Crazy John may get a call from me about a custom build Mono in 9mm later in the year around bonus time.
