STI Ranger II ??

Well, I feel like I owe it to myself to have a 1911 built in Texas, so I've been looking at the STIs.

I really don't like anything they make.

The only thing that turns me on is the RangerII. Possibly in 9mm. Can you use a regular recoil assembly in that gun or are you stuck with the recoilmaster?

Anyone have any firsthand experience with a RangerII in 9 or 45?

you can swap out the recoilmaster for a standard GI setup.

yes you can swap it out. I personally dont mind the recoilmaster, but to each their own. STI is one of the highest quality production 1911's out there so i wouldnt think twice about buying one. The Ranger is an awesome piece too !!

Nice to know. I don't know why, but I want a Commander size 1911 in 9mm. I guess I'm bored with all my reliable guns and want something different.

Anyone have any experience with a RangerII in 9mm?
