As the title asks, this sight has me interested. It seems that it would take a battering but would still fit in a standard holster or thigh rig.

Anybody ever broken one? Did C-More stand behind the product?

Tell me the good and the bad...

Thanks,
HH

Boy I've been watching and hoping for some responses! I'm looking at the STS and the J Point (http://www.jprifles.com/1.6.1.php). Trying to decide which way to go. Or Carver mount (http://www.bb-enterprise.biz/item178611.ctlg) and C More rail?
I'm leaning toward the J Point or the STS because you don't modify the gun. At worst you replace a rear sight! ($1.99 at CDNN)!
The J Point stays on 24/7, battery lasts 4-12 months.
Carver recommends taking 1/10 of a inch off the ejection port...hate to do that!
I do like the STS battery, but it does sit higher on the rear slide.
J Point has a light sensor and adjusts itself to the light!
Most of the comp shooters are using the Carver mount and C More! Bigger window then either the STS or J Point.
Lots of stuff to think about. Hopefully some one will chime in soon...Bru

CMore also makes a mount to mount the standard CMore directly to the slide. A friend of mine had a G-24 set up like this. Seems like a decent setup, but hasn't shown to be too popular. Only downside I can think of is there's a bit of weight added to the slide. :dunno:

Well ordered a STS C-more today and Glock dovetail mount. Decided to give it a try. If I don't like it I'm out a rear sight, and have a quick sight for my AR!
Decided on the STS over the Jpoint, because the way the battery goes in, no need to remove and re-sight in after a battery change. Should be here in a week or so.

Update just received and installed my new STS today. Very bright dot, two power settings Auto and Max. Easy install about 3 minutes! Waiting for the locktite to dry 24 hours before sighting it in. Dot is very quick to pick up. Can't wait to shoot it. Nice blue sunny day in Arizona today. Dot showed up great outside! Very natural pointing and dots right there!
Sight is probably 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch taller then the stock sights. Window is about 3/4X1" but very clear and easy to bring up on target. Probably played (dry fired with it) for 1 hour today.
I report again once I sight it in and shoot a few hundred rounds with it. Hopefully tomorrow!

Installed mine last night and let the locktite setup for 24 hours. Went to the range after work and got it sighted in. Very easy to pick up the 3.5 minute dot. All you have to do is roll your wrists forward while looking at the top of the sight and the dot drops down from the uppermost edge.

Slide action was slowed a bit with the additional weight so went to a 15# Lone Wolf spring on a tungsten guide rod.

Will let you know how it runs on Sunday after the match.

Best of luck at the match. I found out the same thing, drop the muzzle dots right there! I'm shooting +p loads so I doubt I'll need to switch out springs. I should know tomorrow!
Looks like its going to be extra fast on the plate rack! Nice sight.
