I picked up a G27 with serial BYW--- which was mfg around June 1996.
The slide is a flat black and not somewhat shiny as I am use to in my newer ones. Is this the way they came in those days or has the finish just gone dull - it has very little holster wear so I don't see this as wear.

Glock Inc has changed finishes several times. You can ship your pistol back and get the most current finish applied today. Contact GI direct for the details!

Thanks, I knew about shipping back for a refurb but didn't know they would do the finish - appreciate the info.
