The decision was made and the CBOB has received and accepted an offer, it is now on pending funds status!

The question now is will I order another custom LB or will I build an AR-15?

Looks like he sold a CBOB and is deciding on what to do with the money.

Question is.... Do you already have an AR?

An AR is simply what you use to fight to your 1911. Get the Les Baer.

Excellent point. The Baer ARs are really nice.

He can build one for a LOT less and equal the quality IMO. Or... get a Noveske for that kind of money.

I agree. The only one worth a crap is the Super Varmint/Match. That is a great target rifle, but the others are WAY over priced and not much under the hood. But then again the SV/SM are WAY overpriced too.

I like the Les Baer 1911s and have had good luck with the two I've owned.

I'm not sure that I would order one right now. I have a very simple build (blued hardballer with no cocking serrations or sight dovetails) that's over 100 days out and no word on delivery date.

I heard that they got a new shop and are swamped with orders. I hope their quality doesn't slip.

No, I am itching to get one. But I don't think I want a LB AR, I am sure they are nice but I think if I go with the AR I would like to build one from precompiled kits.

If you don't have an AR then you need to get one. Especially if you have multiple 1911s. The AR market is REALLY saturated right now so you can get a good rifle/build one for a decent price.

I'll probably get old and die before I shoot this one! I think I'm gonna have John Harrison finish it with Ed Brown safeties, serrated frontstrap, vertical serrations (rear only) and Novak sights. I was gonna go retro, but I enjoy shooting an enhanced gun.

Well, I went a different route. Just bought a Glock 29SF and will place an order for another custom LB (and another 12-16 weeks).

I will get the G20 magazine and the adapter so I can have the whole 16 rounds when at home or the woods. The LB will be a bitone. Maybe a Commance with Blue slide and SS frame.
