go mactan if you want the beach, tapos side trip na din kayo bohol since its only a short trip away from cebu.

There are lots of beach resorts here in Cebu, specially in Mactan. Depending on the budget, there's Shangrila, medyo pricey. there's Maribago Bluewaters which is ok too. There's Plantation Bay and a lot more.

I do recommend a side trip to Bohol, lots of places to stay in Alona Beach and their car rental/tour service over there is good.

If you really want to enjoy the sun and the beach go to Bantayan Island.

Addict sa beach yung mga in-laws ko from parents to the anak and apo. Everytime na nasa cdo kami from the airport derecho beach na yan.

the room rates at shangrila 15k plus a day too steep for the vacationers kuripot ba yung brother in- law ko.

I want something na okay sa mga bata since kasama yung mga anak ko at wife ko. I wont be going with them kasi i will be staying here in manila taga bantay ng bahay.

Fafa A, not necessarily sa cebu ganito kasi yun addict sa beach nga yung mga in-laws ko diba ( sister, mother and father) ako lang and my wife ang hindi.

My sister in-law together with her husband and son ay magababakasyon this december christmas to new year dito sa NY na sila base.

Ang plan is to spend their christmas sa Butuan sa side ng mister nya and new year namans a side ng sister in-law ko eh ayaw naman nila mag new year sa bahay ng mother in-law ko sa Damilag malapit sa camp philips sa bukidnon kasi walang buhay doon 6pm pa lang tulog na ang mga tao. kaya naisip nila mag new year sa beach.

isa sa mga options ay pear farm sa samal island kaso kasama nga yung bunso ko which mga 6 mos pa lang that time hassle naman.

Parents in-law are coming form CDO, sister in-law and family coming form Butuan and my wife and kids coming from manila bale neutral ground yung pupuntahan nila.

Hindi ako sasama kasi taong bahay ako pero kung invite ako ni cebu boy sa range at doon pumutok till new year why not hehehehe

Oist, you got an open invitation to shoot here. :)

Maribago Blue Waters is not that bad, they got family bungalows which can accomodate, families (5-7 persons) :)

Bohol also got nice beaches, specially in Panglao, lots of resorts there to choose from. I personally recommend Alona beach.

I prefer Bohol than Boracay. I was really happy with Bohol. You have the beach, river trip choco hills etc etc....

I heard bantayan's beach is way better than shangrila's... i heard lang. never been to that island. but i heard very good things bout that place.

But if they insist cebu lang... how bout blue waters would i guess :P But you get what you pay for ha.. di world class a facilities and all.

Yep, ang layo ng beach ng Shang sa Sta. Fe, Bantayan. Try don sa resort ng client ko, Yoonek Beach Resort. Affordable lang around 3k to 8K ang rates. And for the record part ng Cebu ang Bantayan Island.

Here are the contact nos. and pics ---

walang night life sa panglao (bohol) if you are expecting bora style night life. beaches are good naman. dami rin pwede gawin like the dolphin watching and snorkelling sa balingasag.

halos lahat ng beaches sa cebu arent natural white sand. yes, bantayan beaches are way better. malapascua is also good.

siargao, surigao sur, camiguin are other recommendations na malapit at mura lang.

bora is a little farther and accomodations should be cheaper now coz off season. it has the world renowned powdery white sand beaches and the night life you are looking for.

if beach and marine adventure ang hanap nyo, i still think palawan is the best.

papuntahin mo na din sa zipline sa dahilayan , lapit na nila dun at sa damilag lang pala sila

mejo off topic, the beaches in Cagayan north almost boracay sand na rin
Kung talc sa boracay , asukal sa cagayan
Di pa lang kilala kasi it's a 15 hour drive north
Plus you have several deserted isalands to hop, if yu like riding outriggers in waves kasi laki ng bahay
