Just got my AMT Hardballer a little while ago. All in all, it is in pretty nice condition. It does make a wonderful addition to the collection.

Congrats James!
It looks great.
You'll have to take a couple more pics in better lighting. :)
My BIL has one of their .30 Carbine models, not something that impressed me, but I recently shot a Hardballer at the fish and game club and it was very smooth shooting and had an excellent trigger, which the owner said was untouched. Very enjoyable after my LW Champion.

I agree. It was about 7pm when I took these.
Looks nice indeed :)
Yeah, I've always thought the Hardballer was a great looking 1911.
Not great quality, but great looking.

Looks great James. What's your impression of the wrap around grips?

Hey Big Guy.
When I got the AMT, it had Hogue wrap-around grips on it. The previous owner did not have the original AMT grips. I had a set of Pachmayrs laying around, so I decided to use them. They are okay. They would take a little getting use to. I wish I could get a hold of a set of originals though.
As ridiculous as it sounds, the game Hitman has made me want one of these for years...
Congrats.
BTW, that long hole in the trigger makes a great place to attach the anchor line!

I don't think James bought it as a shooter. :)

You think thats ridiculous? I went out and put on Pachmyrs on one of my stainless 1911s because of that game.......
Very nice, hard to find these days !
I have the same model and it shoots good. Not a tack driver but does ok.
Congrats on finding one
