it was reccommended to me to get a SS guide rod and spring assy for my g34 do you agree??
If you want the ability to change spring weights, or maybe avoid the potential for wear or breakage your off to a good start. See a few choices here http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Search.aspx?TERM=lwd-gr

i was told it would add weight and reduce recoil
Sure, a stainless GR will add a little weight however if weight is your main concern I highly recommend you pick up a tungsten GR. The recoil reduction aspect can be changed by switching spring weights.

im shooting 115 gr ammo what spring weight should i be running?
If the gun is ejecting reliably..... Why change anything? If you are experiencing FTE I recommend stepping down to 15lbs or as low as 11lbs.
