My gen4 g34 ! ....well sorta

I've seen conflicting advice
I have a g34 slide with Barsto barrel but don't have a lower for it.

I tried it on my g17 gen 4 lower and it seems to fit fine and dry fire tests seem normal.

Has anyone done similar with no problems?

Just double checking before I fire it and cause any problem

Yah it works if you use the Gen3 recoil spring. The only issue is cosmetic: there is a gap between the frame & slide at the forend.

I saw that but it is hardly noticable with the long slide

Your always better off testing new equipment at the range. This way you can take your time to overcome any issues if the pop up. If you make the changes and then attend a match it could cost you a class.
