Glock Sights

Will a sight set that fits a standard frame glock (17/19/22/ect...) fit a G20? I know they list different sights for the wide frames but why? When I hold my 17 and 20 next to each other the sights look the same, only thing I can see is maybe the 20 set is wider. I am more interested in if the dove tail and front sight hole are the same.

To give an idea why I am asking, I have a set of Trijicon nights sights in the shop being updated. They came off my 17 but I want to put them on my 20 since my 17 is used on the range only now and wears target sights.

Good question. Yes the sights are different but not in width (the width is the same in all sights).
All Glock factory front sights are the same. You can move them from gun to gun.
Glock factory rear sights are available in different heights. 6.1, 6.5, 6.9, 7.3 The 6.5 is common to 9/40 pistols. The 6.9 is common to 10/45 pistols.

Unfortunately your 17 sights will not work on your 20

Regarding aftermarket sights:
The +0 (6.5) is intended for use with 9/4/357 guns except the 26,27,33
The +1 (6.9) is intended for use with 10/45 guns and the 26,27,33
