John Farnam in Dallas this March

I have taken three courses from John myself. The thing I like the most about John is that he places a lot of emphasis on the mental side of fighting with a gun, where most fights are won or lost. John is a student of psychology. He has a good understanding of not only how predators think and work, but how to screw them up at their own game.

Everybody needs to take at least one course from John. Novice tactical shooters will learn a lot of useful skills in a short time. The benefit to veteran shooters is exposure to John's hard-core approach to fighting, where political correctness takes a backseat to going home after a fight.

I would like to second Steve's comments on John's training. I first met John in 1977, when he was already being recognized as a leader in the training field. I learn something from Farnam every time our paths cross. He will be in Memphis on 25-26 January 03 for his Advanced Handgun Course.

Hell, unfortunately I have to admit that Farnam, Moses, and Givens are good instructors. Anyone would be well served by a class from any of the three but, since John and Tom are the oldest, and most likely to croak, I would go with them sooner. :-)
