Class III how hard

I was wondering if anyone had any experience in obtaining a permit for a machine gun in Colorado.

I do. I have a few NFA Title II firearms. The only hard part to getting these type of weapons is getting the CLEO (Chief Law Enforcment Officer) signature. Once you have that it's just a matter of waiting for the ATF to process the paperwork. Call the CLEO for your area and ask them if they will sign. If so, it's real easy. If not then you get to go through the list of CLEO's for your area to see if one will sign. The only rule is that the CLEO must have jurisdiction where you reside. Karl.
