I have an older 17L with a factory ported barrel. I've had it for many years and it probably has 3000-4000 rounds through it. In all the years I've had it, it has functioned flawlessly with all types of ammo, including reloads.

Last week I shot about 200 rounds and had several stove-pipes and malfunctions. I tried three different types of ammo, albeit nothing special (Federal, Winchester, and some reloads). They all gave me the same experience. Is there something that would suddenly "wear out"? I don't feel like a few thousand rounds is that much for a Glock, so it seems odd. Any ideas?

No, nothing wore out. It might pay to lube the barrel & slide.
The problem is most likely associated with 115 gr ammo. The current manufactured 115 is real weak. It takes a stiff arm to run this junk reliably. I bet if you ran 124 or 147 ammo you wouldn’t see a problem.

Hmmm... that sounds right. All of what I was shooting was 115gr. My gun is clean and lubed, so the ammo sounds like a good solution. Thanks very much!

Try the lube & stiff arm first. If that dont work, move to a lighter recoil spring. If that too fails, shoot 124 or 147 and be done with it.
