Don't worry! I'm not ignoring you; I'm just a little overwhelmed by work at the moment....LOT's of changes, which will require a WHOLE log more work on my part! SO, I'm trying to get a head this weekend....to help me out a little bit on Monday morning! :faint:

Right now, I'm debating whether or not I should go pick up more work this afternoon, I think I finished everything I can possibly do with my external harddrive....may need my laptop and some other paper work to accomplish more. (OF COURSE, they give us the most important paper work at the VERY last minute. NEVER a head of time....I wouldn't have had what I have, if I hadn't asked...at 2 p.m. Friday....(wasn't the first time I asked, either.)

I do work well under pressure BUT I'm NOT a last minute person at all.

The sonogram showed he is already 6 lbs. with 6 weeks left to go, so I am guessing he will not make it to Nov. 11! We now have to have another sonogram in 3 weeks to see how much he weighs and then the doctor will decide if he has to induce early, which he thinks is what will happen, if he goes full term he would be 9-10 lbs!

My F-I-L and his wife are moving to Kissimmee at the end of the year, so chances are good we will be coming down there on occasion. I am sure we will have the chance to visit, hopefully sooner than later!

Yeah...that's a nice smile!

I'd just love to see the smiles of a couple of my BEST friends again.
Lifelong friends seem to be a given, when you've had them forever.

One of my dearest friends left Florida last week to return to her home state of Washington....all the way across the country! She and her husband divorced a few years ago. :sigh: (She IS getting engaged to an old boyfriend from her youth, though. We met him and he is an amazing man. He has already invited us to come up there for a visit as soon as we can make it. BUT she doesn't live here anymore. )

Another best friend of mine's husband divorced her last winter, and she's gone into hiding. I think I'm going to go try to get her out of her house next week for her birthday, and help her find a way to go on.

I lost another friend about five years ago when she and her husband divorced and she moved about 8 hours away, too.

My hubby and I are still happily married, but all of our friends are falling apart.

Since Roger wants me delve into conversations with fowl creatures, I will talk to you instead. I know how you feel. Not so much through divorce but relocation. I moved to Virginia to give my in laws a chance to be grandparents, they are great people and I wanted to let them have that opportunity without having to travel 1100 mile to do it. When I moved, I basically went from a place where everyone knew me, to where no one knew me. I don't go out with buddies anymore, about the closest thing I have to a best friend is the guy who runs the gun shop. I miss my old PD buddies a lot. I just isn't the same here at the SO, sure I have friends there, but we are just spread out all over the county so I can't just run over and see someone easily, plus I have little kids, and they want to play with daddy all the time. I am lonely for my buds.

Thanks, Kevin!

It's true!

When we first got married, we lived in my hometown. We hung out with my friends and lived close to my parents.

But I got a job in my husband's hometown which was a great opportunity for both of us....so we moved. It wasn't all that far away, but enough to make an impact on our social life with my friends.

It didn't take long to establish a new life and friends here.

I still maintain contact with my old friends but haven't seen some of them in a very long time.

Now, to gradually lose some of these friends that have been a part of my daily life for many years, is making me so sad, at this point in my life.

I know that life moves on and things change.

I remember in all of my management classes in college, they warned us that people are resistant to change. I've done fine with it....until NOW.

That depends on your definition of 'reasonable.'

Dinky is going green, so he went with the 'no-bake' model to save energy.
